Schedule a Consultation for Invisalign
Invisalign is a great way for people to correct their smile without feeling like they have to look like a 12 year old doing it!
If you are interested in Invisalign then a consult should be your first step.
Invisalign Consultation
At this appointment we will scan your mouth using an intraoral scanner. This will allow us to get a sneak peak of what the final result may look like (Of course there is more to it on the back end than that!)
A series of photos are taken and if you would like to begin that day then we can submit those records for processing.
After finalizing your treatment plan, the aligners are shipped and usually take around 3 weeks to arrive.
Getting Your Invisalign Trays
You’ve taken the photos, gotten the scans and now it is your appointment to get your aligners.
At this appointment, you will be brought back to the treatment room like any other appointment. We will place a rubber dam to block out any saliva to keep the area extra dry. The teeth will be cleaned using solutions, and filling material will be placed in the buttons of your specific tray and inserted in the mouth.
This will be cured, leaving the attachments bonded to the teeth.
This may be done in several different sets as to allow accurate placement of attachments. A certain amount of aligners are given to the patient to wear until the next appointment.
How many sets of aligners given is very individualized and this is something Dr. Hogan will determine based on your treatment plan.
Periodic visits are needed to follow progress and make any adjustments as the treatment continues.
I always tell patients; the first two weeks are the most difficult as you are getting used to wearing the trays 22 of 24 hours a day and things will feel awkward. You have to train yourself to get used to something new. After this time, patients usually settle in nicely to their own routine.
